To promote, encourage, and connect African Australian creatives to industry stakeholders, businesses, and other industry creatives so as to build lasting relationships and partnerships that are beneficial for their career.

Make representations on behalf of our creative community to the appropriate stakeholders in the industry.

Promote creatives, creative events and funding resources via social media and regular networking events.

Rules & Terms

Submitted films must meet any of the following criteria:

  • Films that promote African culture
  • Films about African history, leaders, or landmarks
  • Films that address issues affecting Africa or Africans
  • Films that feature Africans in lead or supporting role
  • Films made by filmmakers of African descent

All film entries must be received by the late deadline selected by Sona judging panel through filmFreeway.
